Lights and Shadows
Light and shadows are constant companions.
They coexist.
They are two different aspects of one phenomenon.
Lights and shadows also exist in life of human beings.
Everything including us, human beings, in the world are dual natured.
If darkness exists, there will always be a light.
If light exists, there will always be shadows.
It is not always good to only stand in the light.
Being in the shadow is not always a bad thing.
Light and shadow in life, this is the eternal theme of human beings.
Kaito Mizukoshi focuses on these two phenomena and choose 8 piano miniature pieces that provoke and portray his personal experience of both being shed a light on and positioned in the shadows since he was born.
The recital is accompanied by a digital video installation created by Gregorian Tanto enabling you to immerse yourself in the musical journey of "Lights and Shadows". This is his debut recital but also first attempt of collaborating classical music and modern art.
The essential aim of this recital is to give opportunities for everyone to aptly access and understand classical music more easily, and shorten the psychological distance between classical music and their life. Listening to inclusive performance, you will be reconsidering your own life and recalling the memory of sensation with us.
